SEXUAL OFFENDER PROGRAM

There are three primary aspects to the sexual offenders treatment program:

1) The client must develop full victim empathy. That is, the client must understand the depth and potential damage that their offending behavior has inflicted upon the victim.
2) The client must be fully accountable to all his/her behaviors and make full disclosure, no matter how minor the issue is, and repeat those offending behaviors every time he/she speaks in group or participates in individual therapy.
3) The client must design a very careful and highly detailed relapse-prevention plan which will set up continuing treatment and recovery for a minimum of two to three years post-discharge.

TREATMENT FOCUS
Typical issues addressed are: relapse prevention; victim empathy; remorse; responsibility; accountability; dealing with different emotions, i.e., anger, depression, anxiety; substance abuse; own victims issues; conflicts with authority figures; social skills; sexuality, both normal and abnormal; sexual conflicts.
